5th Grade is on the Move!

This semester I have had a chance to work with small groups of 5th graders, letting them explore Lego Robotics programming. They are exploring, "What is pi?" They are learning about how different turns are more accurate than others. For some, programming may seem difficult. For others, it is exhilarating. Either way, they come to class excited to learn. I have truly enjoyed our learning experiences.

These girls have met every challenge I give them. So I decided to let them do some exploring with the ultrasonic and sound sensor. They programmed the sound sensor to activate the robot on their command, to search the room until it "sees" someone(ultrasonic) then stop to say "Good Morning!" , does a little happy face dance, then moves on to find another person(or chair). Ms. Standish was very impressed! Great job girls!
